HOW  TO  COMMISSION  A PIECE  OF  ARTWORK

Commissioning your own unique portrait is an amazing way to capture a beloved furry friend, family member, place and a fond memory forever. They also make the perfect gift for someone special! I pride myself on my attention to detail and bringing the subject to life on the paper.

The stages below will explain in detail the process we will go though to complete your commission. I offer a completely customisable, one of a kind piece of art and a joyful, hassle free experience for you from start to finish.

CHOOSING A PHOTO

This is the most important stage of the whole process! The better the quality of photo, the better the quality of drawing. I work from several photos when drawing, one for the composition and others for extra details to truly capture the subject. I have a PHOTO GUIDE to help you choose a photo. If you're struggling with finding one, I am more than happy to receive multiple and help you choose. Please check out the PHOTO GUIDE if you also have several photos that need to be merged for one composition.

CHOOSING A SIZE

Now you need to choose what size portrait you would like. I currently offer paper sizes A5, A4 and A3. Prices all depend on size, number of subjects on the page, and type of commissioned work. I have a SIZES & PRICES GUIDE to help you choose. If you are after a custom paper size, then contact me and we can discuss this.

CONTACTING ME

Once you have decided on the photo and the size, it's time to contact me! You can do this via my CONTACT page, where you will find my email address. Alternatively, you can privately message me via my Instagram or Facebook (also on my Contact page). I aim to respond within 3 working days.

I do have a waiting list and will advise you on when I will be able to complete the artwork. If you require the work to meet special occasion deadline, I can try my best and bump you up the waiting list. Turn around for the artwork can take up to 5 weeks so it is best to book your place in advance. I can give an approximate timescale once we have got in contact and have discussed options.

TAKING PAYMENT

I take payment via bank transfer for UK orders and PayPal for overseas orders. I require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your place on the waiting list. Payment plans are available.

I will send you an invoice before starting the work for the 50% deposit, and then a final invoice for the remaining balance on completion of the work. Work will not be sent to you until the full balance has been paid. If you prefer, a full payment can be made upfront before starting work.

THE ARTWORK

Once your place has been confirmed, I will create a rough outline and send you a picture via Email/Facebook/Instagram for your approval. If there is anything you are not 100% happy with, I will try my best to fix. From there, I will send you regular progress updates up until completion.

Hopefully you are happy with the final result! Once I have received the final balance, I will securely package your work in recycled and 100% biodegradable packaging, and post it first class, fully tracked via Royal Mail.
